Los Altos Psychological Testing
Los Altos Psychological Testing at Sutcliffe Clinic involves a holistic assessment of a child's strengths and challenges, focusing on diagnosing and understanding their overall profile. The first function is to determine if a diagnosis or condition is present, while the second function is to identify a child's strengths and support ongoing skill-building. A diagnosis can help identify appropriate services, insurance coverage, and school support. Psychological assessment includes psychological testing, observations, and interviews with parents and teachers. It is a quantitative and standardized method of measuring a child's intelligence, academic abilities, social skills, executive functioning, and mental health. It is often combined with testing with educational therapists when addressing concerns related to school and learning, allowing for a more in-depth analysis of school issues and creating a more precise treatment plan. The ultimate goal during the assessment is to identify challenges and treatments needed and identify a child's strengths, enabling them to develop new skills and build self-esteem.

Los Altos History Museum
The Los Altos History Museum, situated in Los Altos, California, is a museum that showcases the rich history of Los Altos and its surrounding areas. Founded in 2001, the museum highlights the transformation of the once agricultural paradise, known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight," into the bustling high-tech hub of Silicon Valley. The museum is located in one of the few remaining apricot orchards in the San Francisco Bay area and features both permanent and temporary exhibits. The permanent exhibit, "Crown of the Peninsula," showcases the history of the city of Los Altos through a diorama of the town as it appeared in 1932, including an operational O-scale model train that represents the rail line through town, which was replaced by Foothill Expressway in 1964. If you're in Los Altos, you should visit this museum.
